Ronald Sutton

From overcoming personal challenges to crafting expressive pieces of
art, Ron’s journey is a testament to resilience, creativity, and
community connection. Since discovering his passion for art in 2021
through Siva’s support, Ron has embraced painting and creative
gardening as ways to grow, both personally and artistically.

With support from Skills2go, Ron has developed his brushstroke and
colour blending skills demonstrating patience, consistency, and a
keen eye for detail. He enjoys challenging himself with new styles
and techniques and receives guidance in choosing subjects and
refining his artwork.

His artistic journey didn’t just result in beautiful pieces, it led to
healthier habits, increased confidence, and the courage to pursue
independence. Through regular support and community
engagement, Ron now sells his artwork, opening doors to financial
autonomy and a deeper sense of purpose.

Beyond the canvas, Ron enjoys cooking, walking, gardening, and
meeting friends. He’s always up for exploring Canberra’s attractions,
connecting with others, and expanding his horizons.
